Is your Montessori bookshelf certified or eco-labeled?
While the final product isn’t yet Greenguard Gold–certified, we're actively working toward it. In the meantime, the materials we use already meet high safety and environmental standards. Our Baltic birch plywood is bonded with phenolic adhesive that’s urea-formaldehyde–free (NAUF) and compliant with TSCA Title VI and CARB Phase II emission standards. In fact, it's exempt from formaldehyde testing under HUD Rule 24 CFR 3280 due to its ultra-low emission profile.
Additionally, our plywood carries respected third-party certifications, including FSC®, DIN 68705-3, EN 13986, EN 636-3, and Russian GOST—all of which ensure structural integrity and low chemical emissions. We never add glue, varnish, or paint. The UV-cured topcoat on the plywood is non-toxic and kid-safe straight out of the box.
You can find more about our materials and certifications on our Material Info page.
